But competition is heating up, with companies like Anthropic, Character.AI and Replika all vying to be the go-to destination for enlightening conversation. The next few years will be a fascinating time as these systems push the boundaries of what‘s possible.

    As impressive as Claude is today, we‘re still just scratching the surface of what conversational AI can do. The pace of progress is dizzying – since I started writing this, Claude has already been updated with new multilingual capabilities and a better understanding of recent events.
